Thornby Hall (Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre)

Thornby Hall was first built as a hunting lodge in the 17th Century. During the 19th Century, many exotic trees and plants were imported, and extensive landscaping was done – including moving the entire lake!

The Red Lion

The Red Lion is a 400 year old independent country pub and restaurant which provides our community with a “village living room” for all to enjoy.

St Helen’s Church

The Church at Thornby forms part of the Uplands Group of Churches. 
With monthly Sunday Services, and wheel-chair accessible.

The School Room is used as the village hall.
